Evan Jones
Former Combat Controller, 24th Special Tactics Squadron
Currently: Business Development & Veteran Coaching
I'm a former Air Force Combat Controller who served from 2004-2019 with 10+ deployments and 9+ years at the 24th STS. I came home from my last deployment with severe CPTSD symptoms, TBI symptoms, Moral Injury, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and various toxic exposures (among other things).
I've done a lot of work since then: 30+ ayahuasca journeys, ibogaine, 5-MeO-DMT, San Pedro, psilocybin macro and microdosing, 150+ breathwork sessions, 80 hyperbaric dives, multiple alcohol rehabs including Deer Hollow in Draper Utah, years of therapy including at Home Base in Boston (CPT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, exposure therapy), cerebellar stimulation for emotional balance, equine therapy, outdoor recreation therapy, hot yoga, 3+ years of faith-based counseling, 5+ years with LCSWs and doctors, holistic health coach certification, medications, supplements. VETS, the SOCOM Care Coalition, Combat Control Foundation, First There Foundation, Mission 43, Coast to Coast, and The Coming Home Project have all been crucial in helping me throughout this journey.
I will be 3 years sober from alcohol in August. I do not use THC, ketamine, or synthetic drugs (pharmaceutical or otherwise). I only work with entheogenic plant medicines with intention for specific healing and purposes to improve my life and the lives of those around me, within permissions granted by law. I have no respect or tolerance for criminal behavior.
I've personally used many of these resources during my own transition and recovery. If you need help navigating options or just want to connect with someone who's been through the process, feel free to reach out.
Through my journey, I've built connections with many people throughout these organizations. If I don't know someone directly, I usually know someone who does and can make an introduction. However, for the most part, the standard application processes listed here are the best and fastest way to access services.
