Brady's 6-Week Feeding & Sleep Schedule
Optimized for both parents using Moms on Call principles
Night Schedule
9:00 PM - Bedtime
- Diaper: Fresh diaper before biggest feed
- 9:00-9:30pm: Biggest feed (4oz bottle or full breastfeed both sides)
- 9:30pm: Brady and Mom go to bed
12:30 AM - Dad's Night Feed
- Diaper: Only if poopy/very wet
- Feed: 2-3oz bottle, dim lights, minimal interaction
- Dad's choice: Stay up until feed OR sleep early and wake up
2:30 AM - Mom's Quick Feed
- Feed: One side breastfeed only
- Diaper: Avoid unless absolutely necessary
- Goal: Back to sleep quickly
5:00 AM - Dad's Morning Feed & Routine
- 5:00-5:30am: Full 4oz bottle feed
- 5:30am: Diaper change (fresh for the day)
- 5:30-6:00am: Brief wake time with Dad
- 6:00-7:00am: Brady sleeps, Dad showers/dog/work prep
- Goal: Holds Brady until 10am
Daytime Schedule (Mom)
10:00 AM - Mom's First Feed
- Diaper: Change before feed
- Feed: Breastfeed both sides or 3oz bottle
- Wake time: 30min play, then nap until 1pm
1:00 PM - Afternoon Feed
- Diaper: Change before feed
- Feed: Breastfeed both sides or 3oz bottle
- Wake time: Longest window (45min), then nap until 4pm
4:00 PM - Late Afternoon Feed
- Diaper: Change before feed
- Feed: Breastfeed both sides or 2-3oz bottle
- Wake time: 45min (fussy period), then nap until 7pm
7:00 PM - Evening Feed
- Diaper: Change before feed
- Feed: Breastfeed both sides or 3oz bottle
- Wake time: Bath 2-3x/week, calm activities
- 8:15pm: Brief nap before bedtime
Dad's Sleep Strategy
Option 1 - Stay Up: Relax until 12:30am feed, then sleep until 5am (4.5hr block)
Option 2 - Sleep Early: Bed at 9:30pm, wake at 12:30am, back to sleep until 5am (3hr + 4hr blocks)
Mom's Pumping Schedule
- 8:30pm: Evening pump (produces Dad's night bottles - 6oz total)
- 10:30am: Morning pump (highest output, build stash)
- 1:30pm: Afternoon pump if needed for supply
